biography

Dr. Jozsef Racz, Ph.D., psychiatrist, is a Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology of Counselling of Institute of Psychology, Eötvös University (Budapest). He is also the Head of the Department of Addictions, Faculty of Health Sciences, Semmelweis University (Budapest). He also the director of the Blue Point Drug Counselling and Outpatient Centre (NGO) (Budapest). It runs outpatient centers for drug users and it organizes selected prevention activities. His main research orientation is the qualitative approach. His research activities are studying the injecting drugs use, the use of novel psychoactive substances and drug users’ life stories. He is also interested in drug policy issues.
