biography

Dr. Iwona Rotter, After graduating from high school in 1988 undertook studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. After graduation (1994), She started working at the Provincial Hospital in Szczecin. She worked in the Department of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation (1994-1998). Since 1998 she have been working as a lecturer in the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Specialist in the field of rehabilitation and neurology. In 2002 she defended PhD in medical sciences. The topic of PhD was to assess the quality of life of patients after stroke. From 2012, she is the Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation in Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Further more work in a neurological clinic, the theme of Iwona professional interests is the rehabilitation of neurological diseases, rehabilitation in metabolic diseases and geriatric rehabilitation. She is also interested in issues of male aging and associations between metabolic disorders, neurological diseases, aging and environmental factors. Currently Iwona Rotter realizes a research project on the impact of environmental and metabolic factors on the late-onset hypogonadism.
