biography

Neelam Mustakali Nathani completed B.Sc., in Vocational Biotechnology, Biochemistry & Chemistry in 2009 from Gujarat University and M.Sc., in Biotechnology (Gold Medal) in 2011 from CHARUSAT University. She completed Doctoral in Microbial Genomics from Centre of Advanced Study-Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University in 2016 with major objective of Bacterial Genome reconstruction from Metagenomics. She has published 15+ research papers in international journals, 1 book and 1 book chapter besides 20+ bacterial whole genome submissions to GenBank in the field of Veterinary and Dairy Science. Currently, actively engaged with identification and characterization of Ruminal Microbes of indigenous camel, cattle and buffalo breeds of India.

 

Area of Interest

Core research areas of interest include molecular biotechnology, genomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, veterinary microbiology, probiotcs and comparative functional genomics.
