• Completed medical school at the Faculty of Medicine, Complutense University. Madrid - Spain on 25th September 1986.
• Graduated in Medicine and Surgery “Titulo de Licenciado en Medicina y Cirugia” Faculty of Medicine, Complutense University, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science on 4th December 1986. Madrid - Spain.
• Trained in Cardiovascular Surgery, Spanish residency programme, at Jimenez Diaz Foundation from 1987 to1992. Madrid - Spain.
• Fellow of Spanish Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (FSTCS) awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science on 28th April 1992. Madrid - Spain.
• Entitled to practice General Medicine by European Union (E.U) on 19th June 1995.
• Master of Medical Investigation with very good degree at Navarra University, Pamplona - Spain on 2ed August 1995.
• Fellow of European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons. (FETCS) on 13th March 1999.

1.Investigator-collaborator in the randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study about the safety and efficacy of recombinant activated Factor VII (rFVIIa / NovoSeven) in the treatment of postoperative bleeding in patients undergoing cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass.
