Nihar R. Nayak, DVM, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Nayak has extensive research experience in the field of reproductive biology, particularly on endometrial physiology, implantation, placentation, and pathophysiology of pregnancy diseases.His current research is focused on the mechanisms of angiogenesis and vascular remodeling during pregnancy, with emphasis on various vascular complications during pregnancy, including preeclampsia.
