biography

Elizabeth Mayfield Arnold, is currently Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine and Social Sciences and Health Policy at Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM), Winston-Salem, NC. She is also a faculty affiliate with the Maya Angelou Research Center for Health Equity at WFSM. Dr. Arnold is a licensed clinical social worker and researcher whose career is focused on the development of interventions for vulnerable and marginalized groups, including persons who are homeless, runaway youth, and individuals at risk for suicide. Dr. Arnold is the co-author of Substance Abuse Treatment for Criminal Offenders An Evidenced-Based Guide for Practitioners published by the American Psychological Association, as well as a variety of other journal articles and book chapters.
