Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi, Ph.D., has completed his Ph.D. at Tarbiat Modares University. He is the assistant professor of immunology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He has authored papers on immunomodulatory effects of mesenchymal stem cells and cell therapy and stem cell therapy in autoimmune disease
