Dr. Chao Lin is research director in nanomedicine at the Institute for Biomedical Engineering and Nanoscience, Tongji University School of Medicine (Shanghai, P.R. China). He received his Ph.D. in biomedical chemistry from the University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherland) in 2008 under supervision of Prof. Jan Feijen and Prof. Johan F. J. Engbersen and continued as postdoctoral staff in the same group until 2009. He has authored 30+ peer-reviewed articles on biomaterials, drug release and tissue engineering. He served as a guest editor for special issue to the Journal of Nanomaterials in 2009 and an editorial board member of the Journal of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering since 2010. He received “Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad” in 2007.
