biography

Dr. Adya P. Singh is presently working as Research Fellowin University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand . He pursued his Ph.D. in Botany from University of Arkansas, U.S.A. He has many publications in international scientific journals with high impact factor.

 

Area of Interest

1. Effect of abiotic stresses on plant cell growth and differentiation and on wood formation and wood cell wall characteristics, biological and chemical degradation of wood and wood protection.

2. exploration, practical application and understanding mode of action of bioactive agents related to use in agriculture and forestry.

3. enhancement of wood properties through physical, chemical and biological modification.

4.wood and fibre cell wall ultrastructure in relation to product development and performance evaluation.

5. electron microscopic characterization of wood-adhesive and wood-coating interfaces , electron microscopic characterization of wood particles/fibres-matrix polymer interfaces in biocomposite products, nano-architecture of wood adhesives and nanocellulosic fibrils, electron microscopic characterization of enzymatically modified plant and woody biomass for use in generating bioethanol and other high value products.
