Angelo Mojica is responsible for the food service and clinical operations at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. His team consists of a 30 Registered Dietitians and more than 300 hourly team members that are responsible for the care and feeding of patients and customers in the 825 bed academic medical center. In 2013, Angelo was named the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) Silver Plate Award winner in the healthcare foodservice segment. The awards pay tribute to excellence by recognizing the most outstanding and innovative talents in nine segments of foodservice operations. Angelo was also nominated as FoodService Director’s Director of the Year (2012).
