biography

Dr. Hemant Mittal did his PhD from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India in 2013 on functionalization of natural polysaccharides in general and Gum ghatti in particular and carried-out their physio-chemical investigations. Currently he is working as the research fellow in the University of Johannesburg South Africa. His research work mainly focuses on the development of biopolymers based biodegradable hydrogels and their nanomaterials for different applications like wastewater treatment, drug delivery devices and photocatalysis. He has around 40 research papers in international journals of repute, 6 book chapters and more than 60 papers in the proceedings of different various national and international conferences. He got 8 Best Research Papers Awards for his research work in different reputed conferences.
