biography

Dr Hamid Soraya is Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Urmia University of Medical Sciences. He obtained his Doctorate degree from Urmia School of Veterinary Medicine (2008) and his Ph.D in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from Faculty of Pharmacy, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Tabriz, Iran (2013). He then received a scholarship from Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education to spend his research fellowship at Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta, Canada in the field of isolated heart mechanical function and metabolism. Dr. H Soraya currently teaches Pharmacology in different courses including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and paramedical students at Urmia University of Medical Sciences, Urmia, Iran.

 

Area of Interest

His main focus of research is cardiovascular pharmacology specially pharmacotherapy of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion and heart failure but he is also working on a wide aspects of research such as fatty liver (NAFLD), diabetes and endotoxemia.
