biography

Noelia Negreira, PhD was born in A Coruña (Spain) on 1983. She obtained her PhD in Analytical Chemistryon March 2011 at the University of Santiago de Compostela(Spain). Since 1st July 2016, postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research in Norway. Her work is focused on the development of analytical methodologies for the screening of contaminants in fish and feed, as well as in identification of their metabolites by ion mobility spectrometry (IMS). She is specialized on the development of analytical methodologies for the determination of emerging contaminants in the environment (water, dust, sludge), in biota and food samples by GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS, as well as in identification of transformation products and metabolites by high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). She has participated in several European projects and she has more than 37 papers published in peer reviewed journals.

Area of Interest

1. Development of analytical methods (target and untarget) based on GC and LC-MS/MS
2. Screening of contaminants in the environment, biota and food samples by high-resolution mass spectrometry.
3. Degradation studies of emerging contaminants in the environment, as well as identification of transformation products and metabolites.
