biography
I have completed my B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Sciences) from College of Fisheries, Mangalore and M.F.Sc. (Fisheries Resource Management) from Central Institute of fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai. I have worked on Taxonomy of marine Catfishes (Ariidae) during my M.F.Sc. Currently, I am enrolled for Ph. D. at CIFE, Mumbai.
I have been awarded ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship for my M.F.Sc. program and CIFE Institutional Fellowship for Ph.D. Program. I have received Mr. R.N. Ramchandra Memorial Gold medal, University Gold Medal and Dr. K.V. Devaraj Gold medal in Aug, 2013 for excellent Academic performance in B.F.Sc. (2008-2012). I was selected as Best Fisheries Graduate (2008-2012) and received Dr. K.C. Naik Award for having secured the 1st rank in All India level ranking of professional fisheries graduates forum. I also received Dr. C.V. Kulkarni gold medal in 2014 for securing highest OGPA in Fisheries Resource Management during M.F.Sc. (2012-2014).
