biography
Dr. Jesus Simal-Gandara was born in 1966. He received his PhD in Toxicology and Food Science at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He has many scientific publications. He acts as the coordinator for Agro-Food Research Centre, Spain. Also he is a full Professor in the Dept of Analytical Chemistry and Food Science, University of Vigo, Spain.
Area of Interest
1. Development of food authenticity tools based on HPLC-MS/MS
2. Fate of pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorobiphenyls and heavy metals in crops: transport and degradation processes in soils, and links with their levels in waters and food products and
3. Effect of pre- and post-harvest, technological and cooking treatments on food functionality.
