biography

Bikash Pattnaik is a faculty of Pediatrics at University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also affiliations in ophthalmology, Eye Research institute, and Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine program. He received his PhD in Biophysics from University of Delhi, India in 1999 prior to joining laboratories in Europe and USA for his post-doctoral training. Hi research interests include ion channelopathy, regenerative medicine, molecular medicine, and novel therapeutics. He uses retina physiology to study genetic and developmental blindness.  He also serves as a co-editor for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology and a guest reviewer of several journals. He serves as PI of several funded grants.
